Apple is more than one person, so the pessimism will continue and may gain strength but many don’t realize the company’s stock rose 67% when Tim Cook ran the company during Steve Jobs 6 month medical leave of absence. Regardless Steve Jobs is irreplaceable and that’s an understatement, he’s developed a corporate culture that won’t be matched and guided the production of desirable products year after year. Though he’ll be Chairman of the Board it’s likely that him stepping down is related to his health, though sad there’s a strong faith in Tim Cook and Apple’s management team. Jobs letter of resignation can be read here, and a profile on Tim Cook can be seen here. That said, Jobs will be missed but his vision will always be a part of Apple.
