Google: The Spoiled Little Kid

by Da'Von B.

The best write-up on the ridiculous amount of crying coming from Google against their competitors buying up patents (because it’s okay for Google to purchase patents but not their competitors?) can be found here. The overall problem is that Google lost out on the Nortel patents that they bid $3.14 billion for and they’re realizing they can’t get away with simply using IP developed by someone else for free, one thing that hasn’t been answered is, if Google is crying for open source and innovation, when will the search and algorithm patents be released for open source use?
